The federal government is focusing more attention on the privacy and security of patient health information. Failure to meet the requirements for HIPAA can lead to thousands of dollars in fines and unwanted media attention. Are you HIPAA compliant? What about your business associates? Vicki Myckowiak, esq Bio
Vicki Myckowiak is a principal of MYCKOWIAK ASSOCIATES, P.C. She is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and The National Law Center at George Washington University. Ms. Myckowiak is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Health Care Compliance Association.
Ms. Myckowiak has been practicing healthcare law for 30 years and focuses her practice on representing interventional pain practices on issues including compliance programs, Medicare audits, commercial payor audits, contracting, informed consent, HIPAA, fraud and abuse investigations, reimbursement, and third party payor coverage issues. Ms. Myckowiak has helped implement and maintain compliance programs for dozens of interventional pain practices across the country. Ms. Myckowiak also works extensively with third party billing companies.
Ms. Myckowiak frequently writes and speaks on trends in health care law including fraud and abuse, government enforcement efforts and regulatory initiatives, contracts, audits, and compliance programs.
